Our Mission: Northland is dedicated to the improvement of our members’ financial situations. We encourage savings by offering flexible savings accounts and certificates that help your savings grow. Northland promotes credit improvement of our members by offering many different loan options to assist a wider range of borrowers in their quest for better credit-worthiness. We offer many financial tools free or at a low cost to assist our members in the management of their finances. These services include: savings and loan programs, group benefit programs, Internet banking, Internet bill paying, telephone audio response, world-wide financial access (including VISA and ATM/Debit cards) and many other services.  As a member, you enjoy the benefits of combined buying power and group purchasing.

BANKING: You will find state-of-the-art services including our new and improved Internet banking, Internet bill paying and Telephone Audio Response by CUSA Technologies, Inc.  Northland recently added multi-factor authentication to its Internet banking and bill payment to enhance your security when doing online banking.  Northland has been a leader in new technology for small credit unions.  Northland was the first credit union in Washington State to have an Internet website.  Northland was the first credit union in Spokane to have a working Internet Banking site. We are looking forward to adding new and expanded online services with the highest protection standards. 

LENDING: Our loan officers can process your loan with high efficiency using our sophisticated and integrated loan workstations.  We still look at each person's situation and credit experience when making a loan decision.  We maintain a wide range of loan products in our effort to serve all types and levels of borrowers.  Our board of directors and staff have made a commitment to helping our members improve their credit worthiness.  You can apply in person, online, by mail, or by phone or fax.  

Our History: Northland was established in 1955 by the employees of the Kaiser-Mead Aluminum Reduction Facility.  In 1984 the credit union converted to a community charter and was renamed Northland Federal Credit Union.  In 1997 Northland converted its federal credit union charter to a Washington State credit union charter and changed its name to Northland Credit Union.  Northland expanded its charter to include the North Spokane communities in 1998.  In March of 2002 the credit union expanded it's charter to include all school districts in the State of Washington.  The credit union is administered by volunteers who serve without pay.  This reduces the overhead costs of the credit union.

Your Investment: You can become a member of Northland by depositing $5.00 in a Membership Share account.  This small amount gives you access to the many wonderful benefits of membership at Northland.  Northland is still federally-insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.
